Hello everyone! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and stuffed your face with shameful amounts of food! I’ve been really busy lately, but today I went to the thrift store and picked up some goodies! The above picture is of my Suve, I’m thinking of naming her Charlotte. I did a little customizing even though I loved her stock. Please excuse the half finished wig and no real clothes. I got these eyes from a plastic pony for like 25 cents and they look amazing. I’m thinking romantic vampire! Here is the unlucky pony aforementioned. But I didn’t feel bad about it because the thing had no markings at all so I figure it was from the dollar store or something. I get a little upset at people who will cut up a perfectly good thing, especially things that are collected and well loved. Recycling is taking things that are trash, or that people DON’T WANT. If it’s still decent, let someone keep using it until it’s in bad enough shape that you can responsibly reclaim it.  *end rant*

The eyes compared to my Suve stock.

I also found this Liv doll for $1 (SCORE!) and this strange jointed Barbie that I will probably use to hybrid something in the future.

I got this elephant thing that moves and makes noises for my grandmother’s Christmas present. When we were growing up she always had this little black flippy dog that would bark, wind up, and then flip. I hope she likes this, she has early dementia so she probably will. XD

And I got this great ribbon, and a candle holder I think. The ribbon is light pink with iridescent stripes, though you can’t really see in the picture. And I got the candle holder to unravel and get the beautiful seed beads from! I also got a complete latch hook rug kit in this cool poppy pattern. It has one row done on it, I guess it’s previous owner did not have very much patience . haha

I also broke down and got a Monster High doll. I want to get into repainting them, and also I can use her for a model to crochet. She isn’t as green as I hoped she would be…I may paint her…

Well that’s all for now. I’ll be back soon with a post on dollhouse furniture!

Thanks for reading. Please please pppllleeeaaassseee leave a comment if you like what you see!

I’m so excited!!!!! I want a Lati Yellow sooooo bad, but I was able to find a super super cheap doll that is almost as cute at The Junky Spot! It’s the Hujoo baby Suve! I ordered her Monday morning and I just can’t wait for her to get her so I can make her adorable baby clothes to fit her chubby lil body! It’s hard to make tiny lacey dresses with big open skirts work with tall skinny dolls. So in the mean time I thought I would get cracking on some Christmas presents in between the intense cleaning we are doing to make the house acceptable for hosting Thanksgiving dinner XD oh my goodness, I just might die! I think this year I will be making mostly hats because that’s what everyone seems to want. I had sat down and made some awesome fuzzy house socks for my mother last night that worked up so fast and were the most perfect pair with just a few adjustments to the free pattern I found. I’ll do a post on those soon. They were meant to be for Christmas but I was so proud of them I just had to give them to her that night, and of course she was thrilled, which makes me thrilled. I think I might buy a set of wooden matryoshka dolls and paint them for her for her Christmas present. I also am going to make a hat with a detachable crochet beard for my boyfriend, a cotton mug cover and dish towel set for my grandmother, and an embellished sweater for my other grandmother. I could blather on about other things but I’ll get to the part you all came here to see, the pictures.

This is a little bunny I made because I wanted something cute.

This was supposed to be a goldfish, but then the pattern became incomprehensible when it got to the body. Don’t you hate that? I mean, you work so hard only to get into a terrible rut. I usually make up my own pattern when that happens but I got so discouraged that I decided to turn it into a mermaid tail in progress.

Can anyone guess who this is going to be?

My new favorite dress.

Pretty pretty!

I can’t wait for my new dolly!!!!!!!! When I get her I’ll do a review and everything and then probably post some patterns for clothes because there isn’t alot of love for them on the web. I think they might be pretty new..?

Have a great day and thanks for reading! I’d love to hear from you!

I doubt anyone has noticed how long it’s been since I last posted, but just in case you were wondering when I was going to post more awesomeness and perhaps where I’ve been, I’ve had a terrible migraine with nausea that keeps me from using anything with a screen and crocheting ect. so I haven’t been able to post. Thankfully it seems to havew passed now and I’ve been busy making random things to get out all my creative juices that have been locked inside me these past weeks! Sorry for the crappy pics taken on my bed, but I’m freezing to death!

This is my progress on the Adventure Time blanket. The on on the very top will be Gunter. Then from left to right on the top row: Lumpy Space Princess, Fiona, Finn, Stormo, and  Lemon Grab. On the bottom row: Cinnamon Bun, Jake, Peppermint Butler, Wild Berry Princess, and Cake. I hope to have 8 rows of 6 across at some point before I die! XD

Here is a Pullip sized dress I made. It’s simple but I like it. She looks a little less depressing in it….a little.

This one is similar but more easy going. I think it looks perfect for a stroll by the ocean.

These two I made with a new skein I got today. It’s Paton’s lace in porcelain. I think they look like winter fairies, so pretty.

They can also be worn as skirts! Woot!

This is an elf-ish jumper for a Best Friend Club inc. doll. I don’t have any other clothes for her yet so unfortunately she’s mostly naked.

This is what it looks like from the back. The buttons are functional for easy dressing. I have the pattern and was going to post it soon to see if anyone would test it for me, even though it is pretty simple. I would like to improve my skills at writing patterns that OTHERS can read too! Haha!

I didn’t expect this to look so pretty! She looks like a female Jack Frost. Jacqueline Frost! Well that’s it for now. I hope everyone is keeping safe and warm, especially those hit by Sandy. It’s so important to be prepared for emergencies! It’s as easy as washing out a few empty soda bottles and filling them with water and putting them under the sink. You can use them drink or wash with, or just to flush the toilet. And you should always try to keep at least three days worth of food in the house. As well as a fully stocked first aid kit, extra prescription medications, and essentials like flashlights, radios, and batteries. I think it’s unbelievable that people will try to drive to the next state to get what they can from a gas station or Mcdonalds instead of just having what you need at home. You won’t always be able to do that. The road might not be clear, or you may not be able to get gas, not to mention that it will be dangerous during and right after and emergency situation. So please everyone, take care of your own families. And if you’ve been told to evacuate, DO IT!

Yesterday I went to Tuesday Morning and found a Liv doll for $9.99 and thought she would make a great addition to my growing collection of dolls as she has similar joints to the early Pullip body types and has a similar ratio to my Pullip and Tangkou dolls.

I only have two more months to finish Christmas presents?!?!?

She is modeling a Christmas inspired dress that I made based on this free pattern from an awesome crochet for Barbie blog. I used a size 10 crochet hook with size 10 crochet thread and just single crochet all the way up the back instead of adding snaps. It fits perfectly on a Liv doll and is ok fitting on a Tangkou, but is much too big for my Pullip type 4 body. Doesn’t she look lovely?

I hope we get snow this year…

Check back soon for some free crochet patterns and doll reviews!
